In 1977, there were many students who had experienced orchestral music at elementary schools in Koriyama, but there was only one orchestral music club at junior high school at that time. Therefore, in order to create a place where students could continue their activities even after entering a higher school, we established this group with the cooperation of music teachers and parents of elementary and junior high school students.
The purpose of this orchestra is to contribute to the development of music culture for young people by allowing its members to enjoy music and to deepen their musicality and friendship with each other through performance activities.
In addition, the orchestra has recently been active as a "children's orchestra only" for 46 years. In recent years, with the decrease of practice time in club activities, the orchestra has also been playing a role as a receptacle for motivated students who want to enjoy music even more.
